Yes — Ceemac is a fully registered waste carrier with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA). This means we are legally authorised to remove, transport, and dispose of household waste and items.
It matters for two reasons. First, you are legally protected — unlicensed waste carriers can leave you liable for fly-tipping. Second, for executry and probate purposes, solicitors often require proof that waste was disposed of legally. We provide that documentation.
It is your choice. Many of our customers — particularly those clearing a parent's home from a distance — prefer to leave us a key and let us get on with the work. Others prefer to be present throughout, which we are equally happy with. We'll check in with you at any point you request.
We prioritise reuse and donation wherever possible. Items in good condition are offered to local charities and donation centres — furniture, clothing, books, and household goods. Items that cannot be reused are sorted for recycling or disposed of responsibly at licensed waste facilities. Nothing goes to landfill if we can help it.
